Sims2: the Louie-Barrett family

Giovanni Louie is a grandson of one of the founders of Strangetown, an artist by trade, and a lover of classical piano music.  After some years of a very quiet life perfecting his painting techniques, he invited Shelby Barrett to move in.  They decided to have three children close together, but when the third child ended up being twin girls, suddenly the already-small two-bedroom house is bursting at the seams.  With all his time seemingly spent in changing diapers and feeding bottles to babies, Giovanni hasn't produced any art at all since the second child was born.  Thankfully the eldest, Sheldon, has just started school.
Giovanni and Shelby are admired in old Strangetown for their good looks and style.  People would be surprised if they could get a peek inside the house and see the garbage everywhere, and Giovanni and Shelby barely speaking.  The toll on their relationship might just be too much.

This couple was formed after I started randomly rolling to see how many children they would have, but before I started randomly generating when to have them.  So, her pregnancies were just about as close as the game would allow, with me having them 'try for baby' as soon as there was a quiet moment after each previous child was born.  They rolled to break up this week, so I've been keeping them apart for a few days.  When the next half of the week comes, I'll start actively having them argue and flirt with people who come by.

Speaking of people coming by, one of the issues I'm having with this household is that townies keep coming onto the lot and ringing the doorbell, which wakes everyone up!  Shelby has a Romance aspiration, so that does tend to have people come by more often, but I'm not sure why they always ring the bell, and why it sometimes happens at 3am.  (Usually these things happen between more reasonable hours, like 7am to midnight).

Sheldon has gone to school two days so far, but did not do his homework before the second day, which often leads to trouble.  If I can't get at least one day's homework done before the weekend, the risk of a social worker visit is much higher.  Four young children is a lot, but I don't want them all to be taken!
