Sims2: Lucretia Quarles

Things are looking up for Quincy Quarles, who now goes by Quincy Lake since marrying Lutheria.  When Lutheria moved in, things got a lot easier - Quincy got his promotion, the house is cleaner, and Lucretia grew up to be a wonderful teenager.  His foresight in buying her the telescope was fortuitous, and she now spends all her free time working on her robot station in the back yard.

When a Sim is new at crafting, sometimes their items don't turn out nicely... the pots are mis-shapen, or in this case, the toy robot Lucretia made was sputtering sparks and making a noise that definitely did *not* indicate happy inner workings.  A toy robot costs 108 Simoleons to make, and a defective one only sells for 60 Simoleons.  I groaned and was about to sell it at a loss... then had a bright idea.  If you move the robot off the station onto the ground, the option to "Repair" appears.  Lucretia repaired it, earned tinkering enthusiasm and mechanical experience, and then was able to sell it for the normal 120 Simoleons.  Success on all fronts!
